Man and woman steal 95-year-old veteran’s wallet on Christmas; Del Rey Oaks police

DEL REY OAKS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Del Rey Oaks police are asking for peoples' help in catching a man and woman who allegedly stole a 95-year-old veteran's wallet on Christmas.

They said the couple used the victim's credit cards at a variety of stores, and that the wallet had personal items inside that "were of extreme sentimental value" to the victim.

Police say that the male suspect was last seen at the Safeway in Del Rey Oaks driving a white GMC pickup truck with a California License Plate number of 5K54863.

"We believe we know who the Grinch is, but we still need your help in finding him so we can get the victim his property back," wrote the Del Rey Oaks Police Department on Facebook Thursday.

They're asking for people who may be able to identify the man to please call the Del Rey Oaks Police Department at (831) 375-8525.
