PRUNEDALE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Monterey County Sheriff's Office said that around 12 p.m. they received reports of damage consistent with gunshots fired into two RVs in one Prunedale camp ground in the 8700 block.

They said that around 2:30 a.m. Monday, they received calls of two to six shots fired near the Park-And-Ride on Prunedale North Road, but when police went out to investigate, they couldn't find anything.

It wasn't until Tuesday that reports of damage were called in, according to deputies.

One person reported that they thought they saw gunshots coming from a vehicle on Highway 156.

They said there were no additional damage or injuries reported.

These reports come after homes in the Prunedale area were burgled on Sunday, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone who might have further information or notices any damage to their own property, please contact sheriffs at 831-755--5111.
