Man arrested after pipe bomb discovered in Boulder Creek

BOULDER CREEK, Calif. (KION) A Boulder Creek man is in custody after the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said what appeared to be pipe bombs were found near Lake Drive.

34-year-old Andrew Pace was arrested Friday, Chief Deputy Chris Clark said in a press conference Saturday regarding the CZU Lightning Complex Fire.

He faces multiple charges including possession of a destructive device and making a destructive device without a permit.

He was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
