Better Ask Barry: Top 10 cars from Consumer Reports
(KION) Every year, Consumer Reports puts dozens of cars, trucks, and SUVs to the test.
Among the top picks for 20-20 is the brand new Kia Telluride.
“So this is a vehicle that is easy to drive," said Jake Fisher from Consumer Reports, “but there is a lot of room, a lot of comfort.”
Fisher said the SUV received high marks for reliability, performance and technology.
"Even though it has the latest technological features,” he said, “it's easy and simple to use."
The Telluride is one of 10 vehicles judged best in class in Consumer Report's 2020 Top Picks.
The list also includes two Subarus and four Toyotas (the Avalon, Corolla, Prius and Supra).
That helped Toyota find a place once again on the list of top brands.
Several other familiar names made the grade, but at the very top of the list is luxury automaker Porsche, which (surprise!) makes more than sports cars.
"Quite a few SUVs,” said Fisher. “You take the Porsche Macan, which is actually a very comfortable, quiet vehicle that also has that sportiness to it."
The price for a Macan starts at around $51,000.
Kia’s Telluride runs about 20-thousand less.
Other vehicles in the top 10 include the Lexus RX SUV, the Tesla Model 3 and the Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.
