Oklahoma sheriff deputy serving eviction papers shot, killed
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Authorities say one Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office deputy was killed and a second deputy wounded while serving eviction papers at a home on the southwest side of Oklahoma City. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Aaron Brilbeck says Sgt. Bobby Swartz was taken to a hospital, where he died. The other deputy was in stable condition. Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Dillon Quirk says a suspect in the shooting was taken into custody following a vehicle chase that ended near the entrance of Tinker Air Force Base. Police say the suspect and police exchanged fire during the chase. The suspect’s name was not immediately released.
