Above normal temperatures to end the week
Much of our area is expecting above normal temperatures through Saturday. Portions of the Southern Salinas Valley are also under a heat advisory from Friday 10 a.m. to Saturday 9 p.m. If you do need to be in the outdoors, it's important to drink water, take breaks, and be in the shade if possible. Friday is looking to be the warmest day. Once Sunday approaches, there could be a bit of unsettled weather just in time for Mother's Day, unfortunately.
Air Quality: Good to Moderate
Thursday: Warm, sunny weather throughout the day. Inland high in the 80s-90s, while coastal areas will be a bit cooler with highs in the 70s-80s.
Extended: Some cooling late Saturday as onshore winds pick up. A trough of low pressure approaches on Sunday which will bring temperatures closer to normal and provide rain chances by Monday and Tuesday.
