Everett Alvarez High Introducing Eagle Produce

Everett Alvarez High School's FFA opened a new produce store called Eagle Produce to kick off May. It is completely student run, from the planting to the sales, and it's helping get kids interested in agriculture while feeding the community.

The store offers vegetables and vegetable products as well as store merchandise, with prices more reasonable than local grocery stores to help struggling students and families. All those vegetables are grown in the school's garden and even the pots they're planted in are made by students, each one hand painted and eventually put on display in the store.

Students say the process is rewarding, getting to see the results of their work grow over time, and the store promises to keep growing with even more students coming to the FFA program. They hope to help that growth with their presence online, keeping the community up to date with everything going on with the store through the FFA's social media.
