One person airlifted after vehicle rollover on Highway 101 just south of Gilroy

GILROY, Calif. (KION-TV) - A vehicle rollover incident on Highway 101 Tuesday morning resulted in the northbound lanes being closed to traffic, according to CHP.

Officials said, the incident took place just after 7:30 a.m. on northbound 101 near Old Monterey Road. CHP adds, one vehicle was involved and one person was airlifted from the scene to the hospital. Officials didn't provide any additional info on the extent of that person's injuries.

According to CHP, one lane was able to reopen to traffic around 8:42 a.m. Tuesday.
