Salinas Police: Juvenile shot, child injured after shooting in East Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) - The Salinas Police Department confirms two people were injured after a shooting near a shopping center in East Salinas on Sunday night.

Police said it happened at the 600 Block of Williams Road.

It was at the location Police said they found a juvenile was shot and a child suffered minor injuries in the aftermath.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals where police described their condition as “stable.”

Salinas Police said this is an ongoing investigation and if anyone has any information to the Salinas Police department please contact the tip line at 831-775-4222.  

There is no active threat to the public, according to Salinas Police.
