USGS: 7.0 magnitude earthquake hits near Humboldt County, Tsunami Warning issued then lifted
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) Thursday morning at 10:44 a.m., an earthquake registering 7.0 shook homes throughout the North Coast.
The quake's epicenter was approximately 100 km southwest of Ferndale, with a depth of 0.6 km, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
There was a Tsunami Warning issued around 10:40 a.m. that lasted for about an hour for the coast down into Davenport in Santa Cruz County.
State Parks says all state beaches in Santa Cruz County are being evacuated as a precaution at this time.

- 3.7 magnitude 7.4 miles from Petrolia at 11:10 a.m.
- 4.2 magnitude 32.3 miles from Petrolia at 11:10 a.m.
- 3.8 magnitude 13 miles from Petrolia at 11:21 a.m.
- 3.1 magnitude 16.1 miles from Petrolia at 11:28 a.m.
- 3.1 magnitude 27.3 miles from Petrolia at 11:31 a.m.
- 4.2 magnitude 35.4 miles from Petrolia at 11:36 a.m.
- 3.3 magnitude 18 miles from Petrolia at 11:38 a.m.
- 3.4 magnitude 36.6 miles from Petrolia at 11:46 a.m.
- 3.1 magnitude 42.3 miles from Petrolia at 11:48 a.m.
