Deputies respond to a school shooting in Butte County, suspect is dead

PALERMO, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The Butte County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday that a school shooting took place at the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists in Palermo.

They said that two students were shot and have been transported to a nearby hospital.

Deputies say that students are being taken to a nearby church; the Oroville Church of the Nazarene at 2238 Monte Vista Avenue, where parents can retrieve their children.

The sheriff's office says that the suspected shooter is dead.
