CHP investigating fatal collision near Watsonville, portion of Green Valley Road closed Tuesday morning

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - CHP Santa Cruz is investigating a fatal collision near Watsonville Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Green Valley Road at Amesti Road. That portion of the road is closed while officers investigate the incident.

CHP is asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Officials said as of Tuesday morning, the reopening time remains unknown.
