USGS: 2.9 magnitude earthquake hits near Aromas

AROMAS, Calif. (KION-TV) Friday evening at 4:38 p.m., an earthquake registering 2.9 shook homes near Aromas.

The quake's epicenter was 3 miles SSE from Aromas, with a depth of 4.8 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

There have been reports of people feeling the quake in Prunedale and Watsonville.
