Roughly 9,000 PG&E customers without power in Santa Cruz County Wednesday morning; most areas back on
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - According to PG&E, about 9,000 customers were without power across Santa Cruz County Wednesday.
The affected areas included portions of Santa Cruz, an area east of Corralitos, and areas in the Santa Cruz Mountains. PG&E's outage maps lists various estimated restoration times ranging from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
As of Wednesday midday, most of the affected areas have been turned back on with the exception of parts of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The outages are listed as unplanned and PG&E says they are evaluating the system to identify damaged sections to make necessary repairs to turn the power back on. We have confirmed that many is the Santa Cruz were without power through Wednesday morning.
