Unloaded firearm found at North Salinas High School, no threat to students
SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) – Around 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning an unloaded firearm was found on the campus of North Salinas High School.
According to a memo sent to parents from principal Mary White, the firearm was found by a “K-9 services unit.” The student who owned the backpack was taken to a secure area, and Salinas police responded, according to the memo.
The school tells KION that no one was hurt and there was no threat to the school.
