Former Abercrombie & Fitch chief Mike Jeffries arrested on federal sex trafficking charges

Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries, his romantic partner and a third man have been arrested on sex trafficking and interstate prostitution charges. An indictment accuses them of luring men into sex parties held around the world, sometimes by dangling the promise of modeling. The charges follow allegations from young people who say Jeffries pressed them into sex acts. Jeffries’ attorney says he will respond in detail in court. Messages seeking comment were sent to attorneys for Jeffries’ partner, Matthew Smith, and co-defendant James Jacobson. Jeffries and Smith were arrested in Florida. Jacobson was arrested in Wisconsin.
