Roads back open after fire breaks out at Clean Green Recycling Plant near Hollister

DUNNEVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) - On Monday night, a fire broke out at the Clean Green Recycling Plant in Dunnville, near the Four Corners area.

Responders stayed on scene overnight going into Tuesday morning to keep the blaze from spreading. San Benito County officials are warning, due to the nature of the burning materials, this fire might take days to fully extinguish.

Hollister fire said increased wind conditions are being taken into account as they monitor the fire later this week.

San Felipe, Fairview and Shore roads were forced to close because of the fire but have since reopened.

In a social media post, San Benito County said the code enforcement officer and county council have been working with the property owner to "fix multiple violations, and bring it to compliance with County and State standards."

They also referred to the process as a "long and ever changing" one.

So far no injuries have been reported at the fire.
