Local Red Cross and PG&E crews standby as Hurricane Milton draws closer

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Local Red Cross and PG&E crews have confirmed to KION that they are on standby to help in recovery efforts after Hurricane Milton makes landfall.

They say that 40 Red Cross volunteers are already on the ground helping after Hurricane Helene tore through the southeast states.

Florida has not asked for additional assistance ahead of Hurricane Milton yet, according to the Red Cross.
