Central Fire, Cal Fire team up to put out flames at Aptos area greenhouse and nearby vegetation

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) - Cal Fire and the Central Fire Protection District of Santa Cruz teamed up to put out a fire that initially started at an Aptos greenhouse before spreading to nearby vegetation.

The fire was first reported around noon on Tuesday at 5601 Freedom Boulevard in the Aptos area.

Central Fire said the wildfire was contacted to about half an acre.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and Central Fire said no injuries have been reported.
