PG&E: Over 5,000 without power near Monterey

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- PG&E crews are working to restore power for parts of Monterey after an outage was reported Sunday evening.

According to PG&E, over 5,000 customers are without power.

The impacted area spans from Old Monterey to the Monterey Regional Airport. Customers in La Mesa Village and the outskirts of Carmel have also reported a loss of services.

PG&E is actively investigating the outage and working to assess the situation.

Power is expected to be restored by 9:45 p.m. according to PG&E.
