City of Santa Cruz to address homelessness response plan Tuesday

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) -- On Tuesday at 6 p.m. the City of Santa Cruz will be holding a presentation and discussion to address the state of the city's three-year Homelessness Response Strategic Plan, in addition to outreach efforts and general outcomes, according to the City of Santa Cruz.

The city says that it will discuss the 2024 Point-In-Time (PIT) numbers, federal and state news on homelessness, as well as future plans to address homelessness.

The strategic plan was written in 2024 with focus on key action areas like partnership building; affordable permanent housing; care, shelter and support; environmental stewardship; and community safety, according to the City of Santa Cruz.

They city will also allow a Q&A session following the presentation.
