Reality TV performer arrested on drug, child endangerment charges at Tennessee zoo

ALAMO, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities say a woman who appeared on the reality TV show “1,000-Lb. Sisters” was arrested on drug and child endangerment charges at a Tennessee zoo. The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department says Amy Slaton Halterman was arrested Monday at the Tennessee Safari Park along with Brian Scott Lovvorn after deputies found mushrooms and marijuana in a car they were in. Deputies say they went to the zoo after receiving a call that a visitor had been bitten by a camel. Officials say there were also two children in the car where the pair were sitting. A court clerk didn’t have information on whether the pair had lawyers.
