Man threatens to harm his family Tuesday afternoon; Salinas Police confirm

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Salinas Police confirm that at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon they received a call about a man threatening to harm his family.

Witnesses say that the man ended up on the roof of his apartment complex located at Harden Ranch Apartments in Salinas, according to police.

After negotiating with the suspect for several hours, police say that they were finally able to talk him down. They say that he is now in police custody and nobody was harmed.

The police also report that the man had a warrant out for his arrest on a parol deal.
