Vegetation fire breaks out east of Hollister; Cal Fire BEU

SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Cal Fire BEU confirmed Wednesday afternoon that a vegetation fire broke out east of Hollister about 45 minutes from the Hollister fire station.

Cal Fire confirmed that air attack is overhead and land crews are on the way to the scene.

They said the fire is between three and five acres with a potential for 25 acres. Cal Fire said that the fire is in grass surrounded by roads and that locals were moving in to try and contain the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

This is a developing story.
