Car fire spreads to vegetation in Monterey County, homes threatened for a short time; CAL FIRE
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) – A fire that started as a car fire has spread to vegetation near Aromas, according to CAL FIRE. The fire is near the Crazy Horse Canyon off ramp at Highway 101, according to CAL FIRE.
Structures can be seen in the area near the fire. Echo Valley Road is shut down near Highway 101, according to the CHP.
Homes were threatened for a short time, according to CAL FIRE.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Fire is out and the man who was driving the truck that caught fire is expected to be okay.
