SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CAL FIRE confirmed Tuesday that there were downed power lines that started a small vegetation fire near Stonewall Canyon Road in Soledad off of Highway 146.

Cal Fire is monitoring the situation at this time.

Crews at the scene say the fire is about the size of a car and it's burning 1,000 feet down a canyon.

Cal Fire said they're having trouble getting to it but are working to get crews closer to put out the flames.

This is a developing story.
