DEDHAM, Mass. (AP) — Jurors in the Karen Read trial went home for the weekend after telling the judge Friday that they couldn’t agree, only to be told to keep trying. The six men and six women have to decide whether prosecutors proved that Karen Read killed her police officer boyfriend by slamming into him with her Lexus and then leaving him in the snow after a night out drinking. Her defense says John O’Keefe got out of her SUV and was beaten up in a fight before officers framed Read for his death. The jurors kept trying for several more hours before they were told to return for more deliberations on Monday.
