Hollister Police searching for suspect in shooting at park barbeque

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV)-  UPDATE July 29, 2022, at 9:21 a.m.- Hollister Police are still looking for a man who is allegedly involved in a shooting that occurred at a park barbeque on Memorial Day.

Police obtained video of the shooting and said the man in the black 'Vans' shirt fired several rounds from a concealed handgun in the air during a fight at Memorial Park.

Any witnesses are asked to call 831-636-4331.


Hollister Police said Saturday afternoon, they responded to reports of a shooting at the 1400 block of Memorial Drive.

Police said they had received multiple calls of a fight between many people at different barbeques at Veteran's Memorial Park.

Police said they did not find any shooting victims. They did, however, find multiple shell casings in the area.

Around 50 people at the barbeque were witnesses, but most were uncooperative and said they hadn't seen anything.
