Marina State Beach parking lot closed for sand clearing

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV)-- Marina State Beach's parking lot is closed due to sand clearing.

The ranger on site says they do this clearing monthly because of the sand that builds up in the parking lot and on top of the dune due to the wind.

The parking lot should be open around 1 p.m., but the beach is perfectly accessible for beachgoers.
