Man arrested in Greenfield for impersonating an officer while drunk pleads no contest
GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV) UPDATE April 26, 12:23 a.m.-- Monterey District Attorney Jeannie M. Pacioni said that the man arrested for a DUI and impersonating a police officer in early March pleaded no contest Tuesday.
Clemente Martinez, 27, of Greenfield pled no contest to impersonating a peace officer and felony driving under the influence.
The DA said Martinez admitted to five prior convictions of driving under the influence. His first one was in 2012.
He will receive a stipulated two-year prison sentence, according to Pacioni.
On March 6 at 3:16 a.m. Martinez was driving with flashing red and blue lights built into his car's grill.
Martinez then tried conducting a traffic stop on an off-duty Monterey County Sheriff's Sergeant.
Martinez didn't get out of his vehicle and drove off, the off-duty officer followed him.
The Sergeant followed Martinez until Greenfield police were contacted and pulled the suspect over.
A field sobriety test was conducted and Martinez was found with a BAC of .10.

According to the Greenfield Police Department, a man was arrested Sunday for impersonating a peace officer.
Clemente Martinez, 27, was arrested on Burgundy Drive by the Greenfield Police Department.
Martinez is being charged for a felony DUI, reckless driving, impersonating a peace officer, evading police and driving on a suspended license.
