Police arrest suspect after helicopter and drone hover over Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) UPDATE Sept. 30 12:55 p.m. Salinas Police was in Chinatown area on Wednesday to arrest one of the suspects from Monday's shooing near W Lake Street and Martella Street.

Police identified the victim as 18-year-old Kazia Blunt. In the investigation, they found that a group of men confronted Blunt and shot him to death, Monday afternoon. According to police, one of the suspects was a 29-year-old man.

ORIGINAL STORY: A drone and helicopter were seen hovering over Soledad Street in Salinas. Residents reported hearing police asking someone to turn themselves in near Chinatown. The area has been cleared since 3:30 p.m.
