A loaded gun confiscated at Salinas High School after school is placed on lockdown

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) On Monday morning Salinas High School was placed under lockdown. Police say a loaded weapon was confiscated.

K-9 Oakley was on campus helping search for the reported weapon and initially found nothing. After further search, the loaded weapon was discovered on the waistband of a student.

The lockdown was lifted and classes resumed.
