New ‘Salinas’ sign installed downtown

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The City of Salinas has a new landmark.

The City installed a 17 thousand pound sign that says "Salinas" in the middle of Oldtown on Friday.

The sign is part of the ongoing downtown renovation project that includes new sidewalks, new benches and two-way traffic down Main Street.
