Monterey man sentenced to 95 years to life for molesting three girls under 14
MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Update July 20, 2023, at 5:12 p.m.- Thursday in a Salinas courtroom, a 71-year-old Monterey man was sentenced after being found guilty on 28 counts of child molestation involving three minors.
Miodrag Vuletic will spend 95 years to life in the Califronia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, per Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni. He also has to register as a sex offender for life.
Vuletic was arrested in Florida in Jan. of 2021 after the father of the second victim said he walked in on Vuletic molesting his daughter on Dec. 23, 2020, per Pacioni.
Jane Doe 2 told law enforcement that Vuletic had been molesting her over a two-year period when she was under 14. The victim's sister also disclosed that he had molested her two to three times a week over six months when she was under teh age of 14, per Pacioni.
A third victim was found through the investigation, who also said Vulenic molested her on three occasions when she was under the age of 14, according to the district attorney's office.

Update June 2, 2023, at 2:58 p.m.- Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni said they found a man guilty of molesting three young girls on Friday.

Man wanted in connection to Monterey child sex crime case arrested in Florida
A Monterey man has been arrested in Florida in connection to a child sex crime investigation.
The investigation into a case that happened at 1101 Airport Road in Monterey began on Dec. 24, 2020, and three female victims were identified. Del Rey Oaks police said the victims were between the ages of 9 and 12 years old.
When the case was submitted to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office to file charges, an arrest warrant was issued for 68-year-old Miodrag Vuletic.
Police said they found Vuletic in Jacksonville, FL, where he was arrested Thursday morning with the help of the U.S. Marshal's Office. He is being held in the Jacksonville County Jail until he can be returned to Monterey County.
