Suspect arrested in connection to attempted murder near Maranatha Drive

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION) A suspect has been arrested in connection to a stabbing that happened last month, according to Watsonville police.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Angel Fernandez, was arrested when police served a search warrant at his home Thursday morning.

Police say they believe Fernandez stabbed a 21-year-old man after a dispute in the area around Maranatha Drive on Nov. 30.

The victim was in critical condition, but he has recovered.
