Salinas teen arrested for attempted homicide involving four victims

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Salinas police said a 16-year-old known gang member has been arrested on attempted murder charges.

The incident, which involves four victims, happened in the 100 block of Paloma Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. One person who was shot is still in critical condition.

Detectives said evidence they found helped them to identify the teen as a suspect, and they were arrested Wednesday. After the arrest, a search warrant was served at the suspect's home in the 1000 block of Atlantic Street.

The suspect, who was not identified because of their age, was booked into Juvenile Hall on attempted murder charges and gang enhancements.
