Investigators seek information about suspects in shooting on Winkle Avenue

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is asking for help as they seek information about suspects believed to be involved in a shooting.

The shooting happened in the 3100 block of Winkle Avenue at about 7 p.m. Sunday. Deputies responded to the area for a report of shots fired and found a person with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Investigators said the victim had life-threatening injuries but is expected to survive.

After the shooting, the Sheriff's Office said a white Nissan Maxima with black rims was seen leaving the area, and detectives believe the vehicle was used by the shooting suspects.
