Man treated for major injuries resulting from hit and run crash

GILROY, Calif. (KION) A man is being treated for major injuries resulting from a hit and run crash in Gilroy, and police say they are still looking for the driver.

Police and the fire department responded to the crash near Broadway and Wayland lane at about 11:30 Sunday morning when they got a report of a man lying in the street. When they got there, they found the 48-year-old victim and he was taken to a trauma center to be treated for major injuries.

During the investigation, officers said they found that he was hit by a vehicle that left the scene before they got there. They have not found a suspect or vehicle.
