Man recovering from injuries following Santa Cruz shooting
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) A man is recovering after a shooting in Santa Cruz, and police are working to learn more about what happened.
At around 8 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of a gunshot victim near the railroad tracks and State Route 9, and they eventually found him in a campsite in Sycamore Grove.
Officers helped to provide aid to the 33-year-old man when he was found, and his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police said he did not give any information about what led up to the shooting, but only said the suspect was a Hispanic male wearing dark clothes.
