MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A Pacific Grove man has been convicted on child molestation charges after a jury found he had continuously molested a 10-year-old girl.

52-year-old Eric Bloomer is facing life in prison as a Monterey County judge found him to be a habitual sex offender.

Bloomer is said to have molested the daughter of his ex-girlfriend, who he lived with for six weeks from July to August 2019. The ex-girlfriend also had a 6-year-old child living with her at the time, along with the 10-year-old.

The 10-year-old, only identified as Jane Doe, told family members and investigators that Bloomer had molested her on multiple occasions in the six weeks he was living with the family.

After being charged and now convicted, Bloomer faces life in prison.

Bloomer was previously convicted in three child molestation cases between 1995, 2007 and 2008.

Bloomer will be formally sentenced in early January.
