DEL REY OAKS, Calif. (KION) Del Rey Oaks Police are looking for suspects in connection to thefts at Safeway.

The first happened in early September. Police said a suspect approached the victim and asked about tea to distract her while another suspect removed her wallet from her shopping cart. An ATM card in the wallet was later used at the Monterey County Credit Union and Target in Sand City.

Several weeks later, police said the victim parked her vehicle and got out with her 4-month-old child when suspects pulled up next to her unlocked vehicle, went inside and removed her wallet. Police said the suspects used her credit card in several stores.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Kris Moore at 831-375-8525 or kmoore@delreyoaks.org.

Police are reminding shoppers to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables inside.
