Nine women vie for four seats on Santa Cruz City Council

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) Four seats are up for grabs on Santa Cruz City Council. Nine candidates are running to fill the seats.

The all-women field of candidates include two incumbents; Martine Watkins and Sandy Brown. Kelsey Hill, Kayla Kumar, Sonja Brunner, Elizabeth Conlan, Alicia Kuhl, Maria Cadenas and Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson make up the field.

The first poll results are expected to come in at 8:30 p.m.
