HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION) Hollister police have arrested a man in connection to a robbery downtown.

Police said they were first called to the downtown area after a report of a man holding a pistol wrapped in a red bandanna at around 9 a.m. They later found that he allegedly showed an object that appeared to be a gun and threatened a victim during a robbery.

The suspect was described by dispatch as a Hispanic man who was bald, thin and wearing a striped shirt and blue jeans. He had last been seen walking between the A&W Restaurant and 7-Eleven store.

When officers got there, they found a man matching the description in the 300 block of Sixth Street. He is identified as 36-year-old Raul Bedolla, and police said he is a transient with prior addresses in Santa Clara County and Hollister.

Bedolla was booked into the San Benito County Jail and charged with felony robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call officer Melissa Castro at 831-638-4331.
