Watsonville police search for man suspected of stealing trailer from school

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 9/2/2020 5:50 p.m. Watsonville police said the suspect has been identified.

PREVIOUS STORY: Watsonville police are asking for help as they try to find a man suspected of stealing a trailer from Watsonville High School.

Police released surveillance video from Friday showing the suspect pulling up in a Chevy Colorado with what appears to be black rims, tinted windows and a black racing stripe on the hood.

Police said the truck was seen entering the school and then leaving shortly after with a trailer hitched behind it. The suspect is described as a man wearing an unbuttoned plaid shirt, dark-colored jeans and a baseball cap.
