Aromas man killed in motorcycle crash on San Miguel Canyon Road

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The California Highway Patrol said a 67-year-old man from Aromas died in a crash Tuesday.

At around 3:30 p.m., they said he was riding a custom motorcycle heading west on San Miguel Canyon Road north of Strawberry Road at an unknown speed. The CHP said he entered a sweeping left turn and lost control for reasons that are still under investigation.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle and died of his injuries. He has not been identified yet.

The CHP is reminding motorcyclists to ride responsibly, wear protective gear and never ride after consuming alcohol or drugs, while fatigued or any combination of those.
