SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A 46-year-old man has died following a crash in Salinas Sunday night.

Police said they responded to a report of a pedestrian hit in the 700 block of Williams Road at about 8 p.m., and when they got there, they found the pedestrian dead. It appears that he was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. They do not believe speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
