Multiple evacuation orders lifted in Monterey County, including parts of Pine Canyon and Las Palmas
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Office of Emergency Services announced that evacuation orders and warnings many areas affected by the River Fire are being lifted.
They include:
- Zone 1-Pine Canyon Road, Parker Road, Laurel Lane and Trimble Hill, with the exception of Pine Canyon Road west of Mesa. That area is still under an evacuation order.
- Zone 2- South of River Road from Tara Drive to Pine Canyon Road, including all roads off Las Palmas Parkway, Ranchito Drive, Indian Springs Road, Redding Drive and Belmont Circle. Cava Circle and Berry Drive west of Enos Drive are still under an evacuation order.
- Zone 4- Southwest of Parker Road, northwest of Corral De Cielo Road and Rana Creek. Southeast of the intersection of Chualar River Road and River Road northwest of Limekiln.
- Zone 5- Harper Canyon area, all areas within north of San Benancio Road, west of Troy Lane, southeast of Harper Canyon Road, including Harper Canyon Road, Weather Rock Way and Rimrock Canyon Road
- Zone 6- West of River Road from Parker Road south to Limekiln Road, including Limekiln Road.
- Zone 8- All areas south of Highway 68 east of San Benancio Road, including San Benancio Road south to Harper Canyon Road
- Zone 10- All areas south within the intersection of Highway 68 and River Road to Tara Drive and Highway 68 south to San Benancio Road, including the Los Palmas 1 and 117 Drive communities. It does not include the Toro Regional Main Park area.
Evacuation warnings are lifted in these areas:
- Zone 3- Indian Canyon, Mt. Toro Access Road and San Benancio Road from Troy Lane to Corral de Tierra, including Corral del Cielo Road, Lucie Lane and Covie Lane.
- Sones 9 and 11- All areas north of Highway 68 from Portola Drive and Veronica Drive/Estoque Place east, including roads off Portola Drive to Creekside Court.
There will still be road closures at Pine Canyon Road at Mesa Road, Berry Drive at Enos Drive and Cava Circle at Redding Drive.
