Suspected shooter in Nipomo killed
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KION and KEYT)
UPDATE8/21/2020 2 p.m. A suspected shooter who allegedly opened fire in a Vons parking lot in Nipomo was killed, according to KION's sister station KEYT.
Law enforcement first responded to the scene at around 11:30 a.m.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office said there does not appear to be a threat to the public right now.
PREVIOUS STORY: Law enforcement in San Luis Obispo County are responding to an active shooter situation in Nipomo Friday, according to KION's sister station in the area.
KEYT reports that the incident is happening at a Vons parking lot on West Tefft Street.
The Sheriff's Office is at the scene and road closures are in place in the area.
