20 COVID-19 cases reported at Monterey County childcare facilities

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The California Department of Social Services reports that there have been 20 confirmed COVID-19 cases at Monterey County childcare facilities.

The total includes staff, children and parents at child care centers and family child care homes. Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties reportedly have fewer than 11 cases each.

Specific facilities were not listed in the report. A total of 1,654 have been reported statewide.
