Man arrested for allegedly burglarizing King City Fire Department
KING CITY, Calif. (KION) King City police have made an arrest in connection to a burglary at the Fire Department.
Officers responded to the station on Bassett Street on July 19 at around 12:15 p.m. and were told that about $3,000 worth of items had been stolen from the station while it was secured, but unattended.
The department said a fire services emergency radio, a chainsaw and about 20 helmet-mounted headlamps were stolen.
During the investigation, police were able to identify 18-year-old Richard Silva as the suspect. He was in the Monterey County Jail for an unrelated incident. He was arrested there and booked for burglary.
